The Kidney Beanz Trust supports children with life threatening Kidney Disease and those waiting for Kidney Transplants. Kidney Beanz was established to provide comprehensive support services to these children and their families. Children with life-threatening kidney disease often experience great difficulty in living normal lives due to the tremendous impact that their illness has on them and their families.
Without the support of our sponsors, we would not be able to carry out any projects and make the difference in these children’s lives and all projects benefit the children on dialysis, or children who have received their transplants.
Our Trust is based at Mediclinic Morningside and our second support structure at the Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital which opened in 2015 and recently at the Nelson Mandela Childrens Hospital.
Mediclinic Morningside services include occupational therapy, physiotherapy, psychology, dietetics, education and assistance with transport costs and medical levies and CMJAH and NMCH services include Auxiliary Nurses and assistance with transport costs.
World Kidney Day is on Thursday 14th March with the campaign “Move your feet” and we would like to see if your school would like to take part in a bit of fundraising for The Kidney Beanz Trust. Attached is the flyer for The Kidney Beanz Trust World Kidney Day campaign. Schools would ask students to donate R10 to wear their takkies to school on Thursday 14th March and receive a Kidney Beanz Trust Sticker, proceeds will go to The Kidney Beanz Trust.
If you would like to be involved, please do not hesitate to contact me on firstname.lastname@example.org or 082 656 7075.
